What is a Yerp?

yerp (v.): to say yes and mean it. To a plan, a crew, a climb, a trail.

It's how you answer a plan. Someone makes a plan in the app, and you tap Yerp, Watch or Nerp. Yerp means you're in, and you'll show up. The plan, the people and the chat all live in one place, with no group text to chase.

How it started

It started on a cliff edge.

Kris Valzone and Adam Steinhoff were sitting on the edge of a cliff in Linville Gorge, swapping stories about the adventures that almost happened: the group chats that fizzled, the plans that never left the phone, the weekends that stayed "maybe next time."

They built Yerp so more of those trips happen. Less time talking about adventures, more time on them.
